OUT OF LIMBO

ENRICO is a successful cinema director - the most celebrated of his time.

The premiere of his eagerly awaited new movie ends with standing ovations and great public acclaim. But surprisingly, ENRICO announces that this was his last movie. The public is shocked by his decision. 

After a turbulent career and the loss of his beloved wife LARA, ENRICO is mentally and physically exhausted. He retreats to the solitude of the Sardinian mountains to cope with his past and come to terms with it.

On the mountains, he is gradually haunted by mysterious characters who seem very familiar to him. After initially assuming that he went crazy, he finally is sure: the mysterious figures are movie characters that he created in the past but never realized them in any of his movies.

These characters don't accept the fact that with ENRICO`s end of career, they have no chance of being filmed and would thus sink into the insignificance of oblivion.

After some bizarre situations, they force ENRICO to realize one last movie with them called OUT OF LIMBO, which would finally get them to "life".
